In June 2001, the Colour Charts Service, the premier Service of the Builder Lynx Suite is announced.
Focusing on the troublesome colour charts process, it is designed to
streamline the flow of information to reduce errors and accelerate home
construction. The design philosophy is to
embrace the capabilities provided by the internet, to serve the home buyer
and home builder in new, beneficial ways.
In January 2002, the premier release of the full Builder Lynx Suite is made.
In addition to the Colour Charts Service, it includes new services for Supplies Ordering
(based on automated totals from the Colour Charts Service), Construction Control
(to co-ordinate trades to install the home buyers' choices), Pre-Delivery Inspection
Service (to track deficiencies and the work orders to remedy them), and Warranty
Service (to simplify customer service during the ONHWP period).
In December 2002, the Suite is expanded to include the Home Buyer Marketing Service
(to track prospects who come through the sales office), the Sales Agreement Service (for
writing a GTHBA-approved Agreement of Purchase and Sale), and the PDI on PDA Service
(providing Palm-based handheld tool for doing a Pre-Delivery Inspection).
In February 2003, new features include construction management on a Palm-Pilot,
giving builders the ability to walk the site with all construction information
on their Palm Pilot, checking work progress, scheduling supplies and trades --
everything a construction manager or superintendent needs to do.
In April 2003, integration between the Colour Charts Service and a builder's
Decor Centre becomes available. These capabilities give home buyers the highest
level of comfort while make their colour selections, and let home builders
track and manage colour chart information quickly and easily.
